Day 11 of 40 Days of Lenton Season Topic: Do not be Deceived! Text: Matthew 24Deception is the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalidDeception is one of the means the enemy use to lead men astray; derailing from the truth while ignorantly taking heed of falsehood (darkness) Deception is all about spreading of lies and avoidance of the truth to win a heart and leading them to the path of destruction (Just like how the devil use the art of deception to bring about the downfall of man and making him lose His presence before God) - Ps 12:2The world today is full of deception because man is naturally selfish and his heart is full of wickedness. Even the media today has imploy the art of deception to fill the heart and minds of people towards the direction they want them to followToday you must be on your watch so you won't be carried away via the wiles of the enemyThe bible admonish us to beware of deception that comes from1.The Pharisees and the Scribes2.Agent of Darkness whom transform themselves into an agent of lightAccording to the bible:- Many will come in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ claiming they are the Christ, (Matt 24:5) -Many will preach the gospel in speech but their actions are contrary to what they preach (Just like the Pharisees who do not practise what they preach) Matt 23:3-False Prophets and False Christ will arise and perform signs and wonders that will even deceive the wise (Matt 24:24) The bible says in 1 John 4:6 - We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception. Therefore there is a spirit of deception working in the lives of men which we must do away with and not give room to completelyPrayer: Lord Jesus help me to recognise every spirit of deception at work within and around me and grant me the power to prevail against it and walk in your truth alone

Most people don’t recognize the ongoing deception so prevalent in our lives. We were born into a world of lies, evil and false narratives. We’ve been indoctrinated to believe that good is evil and evil is good. Deception is the name of the game and will continue until Jesus wins the battle of Armageddon. Our leaders lie to us, our churches sidestep those “sensitive” parts of the Bible deemed politically inappropriate and our so-called friends run in the opposite direction if we get too heavy-handed praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Do you really think that the powerful, rich and elite care about the rest of us? Do you honestly believe that our government is going to swoop in and save us when it really hits the fan? Not only do these groups not care, they are plotting our demise and have been for a long time. There are a few exceptions to our disgusting reality but unfortunately, not enough to turn the vast majority to God. That is why He is about to shake things up both figuratively and literally. We are now witnessing Revelation, the final book of the Bible. The battle between the white hats and black hats has begun. God is turning up the heat in a last - ditch effort to bring us to our knees, repent of our sins and seek salvation and if we don’t, the consequences won’t be pretty and will be eternal. At this brief moment in time, most refuse to believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and the solution to what ails them. As horrific events unfold, however, many will have have a much-needed change of heart. That is God’s plan.2 Corinthians 7:10 (New International Version)10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

The Only antidote!Today we shall be considering what we can do to help ourselves overcome the trials that come through a fallen world. Such as hopelessness, sickness, disease, disappointment, spiritual or financial bankruptcy, promises and fail, and the like. The word fallen is used in the Bible to describe someone or something that is spiritually and morally degraded. For instance, Israel is described as "fallen" (Amos 5:2).Then, What could be the possible causes of the trials that come through a fallen world? because the scripture ascertains that everything God made was completely good. (Genesis 1:31)The sin of our ancestors, especially Adams and Evil, is the major cause of the trials of the fallen world. (Genesis 3), and this has caused demonic power to penetrate humans' lives and make things so difficult for virtually every individual. Then, the only antidote to this is Christ Jesus, because the scripture asserts that "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst." (1 Timothy 1:15)He (Jesus Christ) has set many people free from various infirmities, such as the woman caught in the act of adultery. John 8:1–11; The Woman of the Issue of Blood; Luke 8:43–48; The man at the pool of Bethesda John 5:1–9, and many moreHowever, what do you need to do? The answer to this is very simple. The scripture says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)I actually don't know what the exact situation is that you find yourself in right now, but I do know the solution to whatever trial or challenges you may be facing right now, and the solution I am talking about is Jesus. Will you call on Him this morning? (Psalms 50:15)Pray: Lord Jesus, save my soul today from every trial of a fallen world.Prayer: May the Lord answer your prayers on the day of trouble. (Psalms 20).Shalom! Good morning, and have a testimony Tuesday, ©Joshua Adetunji AKANJI.

23rd November 2023Bread of the Spirit Devotional by Apst Godwin Usieta DRAW NEAR TO GOD🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥“I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.” ‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Proverbs 4:7 describes wisdom as the principal thing and directs us to get it. I also consider the ability to hear God as a principal thing. How important is the art of hearing God? Let’s check through the list. Noah heard God and escaped the overthrow by the flood. Moses heard God and became a mighty leader. He parted the Red Sea and did other incredible miracles. Elijah heard God and was fed throughout the years of famine. Hezekiah heard God and was healed of a disease. His ability to hear procured him healing. Therefore, hearing from God is not one of those elective issues of our faith, it is as principal as wisdom itself. Of course, even wisdom is received through hearing. “A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,” (Proverbs‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬). The only thing that ranks in importance to hearing God is obeying Him. It is the way to a victorious, productive Christian living. Finally, those who desire to hear God’s voice must learn to draw near to Him. More often than not, the voice of God comes still and small as was the case with Elijah on the mount. The closer we get to God, the easier it becomes to discern His voice.‬‬‬‬‬‬Further Study: Psalm 27:1-11Prayer: Lord, open the eyes of my heart to know Your ways.

*DAILY DEVOTIONAL**PROPHET DAG HEWARD-MILLS**"THOUGHTS!"**26th February, 2024**READ: Mark 7:20-23*Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:Psalm 139:23Though you may be a born-again Christian, this does not close your mind to the attacks of the devil. Your mind is still open to all kinds of thoughts from the devil. The devil will always appeal to our minds. The Bible teaches us that we must cast down imaginations: (2 Corinthians 10:5).Remember this truth: your mind is the battleground. Satan’s most powerful tool is “suggestion”. Jesus was tempted through the avenue of His thoughts. A thought is like a bird that flies over your head. It may land on your head, but it must not be allowed to make a nest on your head. When ungodly thoughts come to you, resist them immediately. Do not be surprised when outrageous things occur to you. That is the fight of every born-again Christian; to keep your mind pure at all times. Some Christians are plagued with fear and worry; fear is one of the terrible thoughts of the devil.Whilst working on the hospital ward as a medical student, I saw many young patients die. I began to think about their plight and a spirit of fear oppressed me. Many times I saw myself sick and dying of the same diseases. I imagined my funeral and I imagined what I would look like in the coffin.Dear friend, fear is an oppressive spirit that works through the mind. Whether it is worry, fear, or lust, you must learn to cast down wrong imaginations. You must learn to capture your thoughts and make them obedient to the Word of God. You must resist the devil.*A YEAR OF WORK*✝️✝️✝️*READ YOUR BIBLE PRAY EVERYDAY IF YOU WANT TO GROW**STAY SAFE, OBSERVE ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS*

How Many Of You See This Increasing? Even Among Christians, These Two Words…Don’t Judge? 🤔“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.“ (Matthew 7:13-14)God wants all men to be saved. Christ died for all. The gospel invitation is open to all. Nevertheless, these passages affirm that only few will be saved. Jesus’ roads and gates illustration helps us understand why.First, consider the wide road. Hills, rivers, rocks, and trees can confine the width of a road. They constitute restrictions. The wide road to hell knows no such limits. It is an unrestricted way. There is room on it for every opinion and practice. Folks going that way can believe whatever they like and live however they please. It is also an undisciplined way. Driving on narrow mountain roads tenses us up. We sit up. Both hands grip the wheel. We watch carefully, knowing there is little room for error. Mistakes could be tragic. The highway to hell is not like that. It is more reminiscent of an eight-lane turnpike. You turn on the cruise control, lean back, and steer with one finger. Alertness and self-discipline are not required in the wide way. You may do what you will, for everyone on it are headed to the exact same place of destruction. No wonder that Jesus described this as the popular way. It is the easy way, full of travelers just following the crowd. There is little concern among them whether God approves this or that. Sadly, it is also the destructive way. What benefit is there in taking the easy route if it goes the wrong direction? Perhaps we could call it the short-sighted way.It Reminds Me Of Acts 17:27, Jesus said, “Few are those who find it.” Why so few?Peter explained that it is acknowledging Jesus’ lordship by repenting of sins FORSAKING THEM☝🏼,and being baptized in His name for forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:36-38). Ananias said the same thing (Acts 22:16). It is doing the will of the Father (Matt. 7:21).

Life & Death. Death is a really big problem for us. The resurrection of Christ advertises to us the availability of the ultimate solution. Many misguided philosophers prefer to speak of the accounts of Jesus’ resurrection as metaphor, principle or some inspirational concept. But if Christ’s resurrection wasn’t real, then the reality of a solution for our very real problem is lost. The Bible presents the resurrection of Christ as the physical prototype of our own resurrection: life, real death, time, real life again (cf. 1 Corinthians 15:20). Only the “real life again” is promised to be without all the effects of sin – which include deterioration, pain, weakness and susceptibility to death (cf. 1 Corinthians 15:42-43). The catch is that this enjoyment of an ageless, painless, disease-less physical existence is held out for those who take Jesus at his word. At a funeral of his friend, face to face with every human’s ultimate problem, Christ declared the essence of the Christian message: “I am the resurrection and the life, he who trusts in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (John 11:25-26). That is precisely the solution we need.In Christ,Pastor Mike Fabarez

Keeping my thoughts in order-journaling:What particularly caught my attention while reading was “by not disclosing or hindering them.” We have a responsibility to stop evil but how? I think this is where prayer and discernment come in. You can’t move in a right direction to act unless God calls you to move. I guess it depends on the situation sometimes you have to respond in a quick manner and that’s when reason kicks in. The question always is when you choose to act is it going to be received in an effective way? You may see so many areas that need work and get pulled in a million directions. A million different ministries are out there. Where is God calling me? How does He want me to serve? Maybe it’s just prayer- the call is there just what role do I play in it?Personal sin evolves into structural or socail sin. How we are seeing this today.Catechism of the Catholic Church1868Sin is a personal act. Moreover, we have a responsibility for the sins committed by others when we cooperate in them:1736- by participating directly and voluntarily in them;- by ordering, advising, praising, or approving them;- by not disclosing or not hindering them when we have an obligation to do so;- by protecting evil-doers.1869Thus sin makes men accomplices of one another andcauses concupiscence, violence, and injustice to reign among them.Sins give rise to social situations and institutions that are contrary to the divine goodness. "Structures of sin" are the expression and 408 effect of personal sins. They lead their victims to do evil in their 1887 turn. In an analogous sense, they constitute a "social sin."144
