1While they were at Hazeroth, Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because he had married a Cush*te woman. 2They said, “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t he spoken through us, too?” But the Lord heard them. 3(Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on earth.)

4So immediately the Lord called to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam and said, “Go out to the Tabernacle, all three of you!” So the three of them went to the Tabernacle.

1Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2So they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it. 3(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)

4Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!” So the three came out.

1Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cush*te wife (he had married a Cush*te). 2They said, “Is Moses the only one the Lord speaks through? Doesn’t he also speak through us?” And the Lord heard this.

3(Now Moses was very humble. He was the least proud person on earth.)

4So the Lord suddenly spoke to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam and said, “All three of you come to the Meeting Tent.” So they went.

1And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Cush*te woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cush*te woman. 2And they said, Hath Jehovah indeed spoken only with Moses? hath he not spoken also with us? And Jehovah heard it. 3Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth.

4And Jehovah spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tent of meeting. And they three came out.

1And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had taken; for he had taken a Cush*te as wife. 2And they said, Has Jehovah indeed spoken only to Moses? has he not spoken also to us? And Jehovah heard it. 3But the man Moses was very meek, above all men that were upon the face of the earth.

4Suddenly, the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “All three of you come to the tent of meeting.” So all three of them came.

1Miriam and Aaron began to say bad things about Moses. That’s because Moses had married a woman from Cush. 2“Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” The Lord heard what they said.

3Moses wasn’t very proud at all. In fact, he had less pride than anyone else on the face of the earth.

4The Lord spoke to Moses, Aaron and Miriam. He said, “All three of you, come out to the Tent of Meeting.” So they did.

1Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cush*te woman whom he had married (for he had married a Cush*te woman);

2and they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us as well?” And the Lord heard it.

3(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.)
