Jordon Johnson

State: Ohio

School: Hamilton

Club: Phenom United 3SSB

It’s a new era of Hamilton basketball with a new head coach and a new era of freshman. The reigning GMC middle school champs were led by Johnson and he stood out immediately at the varsity level. A point guard with a feel for the game beyond his years, Johnson made quick decisions on the drive and dish game. Loved how hard Johnson competed on the court as an undersized freshman point guard. The dribble drive game of Johnson to look to either score or pass was effective as Johnson scored on floaters and hit the big men sitting in the dunker spot for layups. A name to know in southwest Ohio’s 2028 class.

Carson Gutmann

State: Ohio

School: Springboro

Springboro had their way with Turpin and it was largely due to a size advantage with Gutmann and Yuvi Bimwal Yuvi Bimwal 6'5" | PF Springboro | 2025 OH . A smooth mover for his size, Gutmann has all the natural talented needed to take a huge leap in terms of production. Gutmann knocked down time and space jumpers, had a putback layup and attacked baseline off the dribble. Doing these things consistently will be the key for Gutmann, who now is the focal point of the Springboro offense. I’ve had faith it Gutmann eventually taking that step and now is the time for him to become one of the most dominant players in the GWOC.

School: Cincinnati Aiken

Club: Midwest Basketball Club Grassroots

Aiken has a nice blend of senior talent with Arnold and James Burnett James Burnett 5'10" | PG Cincinnati Aiken | 2025 State OH in the backcourt, plus some sophom*ores and juniors who are hungry to make an impact for the defending CMAC champions. Arnold was smooth on Wednesday with some nasty moves off the bounce to get where he wants. One of the more polished point guards in Ohio’s 2025 class, Arnold is tough to stay in front of off the bounce and his right to left crossover that led to a left-handed finish at the rim. When Aiken can turn you over, it’s going to be a long night for their opponents, and Aiken forced a lot of turnovers in the game I caught today which was a blowout victory.

Ethan Greenberg

State: Ohio

School: Centerville

Club: Moss Elite

It’s a new era for Centerville as the Elks have said goodbye to two straight incredible senior classes. It’s now the Greenberg twins team and the Elks have gone five in, five out this June with Ethan and Eli each leading a group. I was impressed with Greenberg’s off ball movement, making himself available to knock down spot-up 3-pointers. The Elks ran elevator screens, pick and pops and other actions to set Greenberg up for jumpers with his feet set. Defensively, Greenberg was very active and turned defense into offense a few times with a steal leading to a breakaway layup and tough on-ball defense turning into a transition 3-pointer. Greenberg looks like a utility wing at the scholarship level and should get some quality looks this summer.

Drew Snively

State: Indiana

School: Zionsville

Club: Indiana Elite Team Indiana 2025

Zionsville and Centerville played one of the best games I’ve seen this month so far with an intense back and forth battle ending in a one point game. Snively was productive all game as the wing guard had multiple and-1 buckets when slashing to the rim. With multiple shots from the 8-12 foot range falling as well, Snively’s touch is another skill he uses. I liked how Snively played off two feet and wasn’t rushed. His passing also stood out with an alley-oop pass being his most impressive of the day. Zionsville should be more competitive this year with a strong 2025 duo of Snively and Maguire Mitchell Maguire Mitchell 6'5" | SG Zionsville | 2025 State IN .

Melakih Cunningham

State: Indiana

School: Crispus Attucks

Crispus Attucks won a back and forth battle with Cincinnati Wyoming and Cunningham impacted the game on both ends of the court. A wing forward with good length, Cunningham has the frame to impact the game defensively at a high level. A block from behind that led to a transition opportunity was the easiest way to see how Cunningham’s length can impact the game. Combine that with a couple time and space 3-pointers and a slam dunk to put the cherry on top of a complete performance, Cunningham looks like a player ready to breakout as a senior.

Isaiah-Michael Williams

State: Ohio

School: Beavercreek

Club: Midwest Basketball Club Grassroots

Beavercreek plays a fast tempo with Williams as the engine of the offense. With a slam dunk immediately after the opening tip, it set the tone for the game. Williams was attacking the rim with a ton of aggressiveness, occasionally lowering his shoulder at the rim. The key swing skill for Williams will be the 3-point shot and he made two 3-pointers in the game I saw which is an encouraging development. Continuing to work on that skill and getting a smoother release could elevate Williams game and recruitment.
